Job Title: Nights Hygiene Supervisor

Location: Barrow upon Soar, Loughborough (LE12)

Shift: 18 00
Salary: £15.14 per hour (+£1 premium for 10pm 4am)

Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Nights Hygiene Supervisor to oversee hygiene operations in a busy bakery production environment. The role ensures that all cleaning activities meet the required food safety and hygiene standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

This position involves a mix of manual and supervisory tasks, working closely with a dynamic team to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the hygiene team adheres to cleaning schedules and processes in line with food safety standards.
• Oversee compliance with COSHH regulations and safe use of all equipment and PPE.
• Drive continuous improvement in hygiene practices to meet business KPIs.
• Develop and train team members, identifying and addressing skill gaps.
• Collaborate with labour agencies and provide feedback on performance.
• Take an active role in audits and high-profile visits.
• Deputize for the Shift Operations Manager when required.
• Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Essential:

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment (ideally within bakery production).
• Good understanding of Food Safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations.
• Proven experience leading and supporting a team.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Familiarity with working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Passion for learning and developing within the role.
