Key Responsibilities - Perform both planned and reactive electrical maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using a logical approach, identifying root causes rather than relying solely on system resets.
- Interpret electrical schematics to support maintenance and repair tasks, clearly communicating findings with team members.
- Collaborate with production and operational teams to improve machinery performance and anticipate potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, addressing recurring issues to implement long-term solutions.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is conducted safely and in accordance with company policies.
Requirements - Qualifications: NVQ Level 3, ONC, or HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Time-served electricians with relevant experience are also welcome.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with a proactive, logical approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with PLC systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a team-oriented mindset.
Shift Details - Hours: 9:30 PM 5:30 AM, 5 days per week.
- Overtime: Opportunities available.
- Bank Holidays:
- 8 bank holidays, with 5 mid-year expected to be worked.
- If rostered to work: Double time plus a day back in lieu.
- If not rostered to work: Double time only.
- No work required on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, or New Year s Day.
