Category Manager


  • Salary between £45,000 – £50,000 DOE plus bonus and enviable benefits

In order to support the company’s growth, they are searching for a skilled Category Manager to join their team to strengthen their purchasing function. This is a crucial role for the business and will create impact from day one to augment the core team for their growing business.

The Category Manager role:

Utilising your in-depth professional buying experience, along with your strong negotiation skills, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a significant supplier portfolio and be responsible for driving turnover, working towards the departments KPI’s
  • Introduce new ideas and best practice to help drive our category management strategy to the next level
  • Targeted to identify new product and supplier opportunities for our growing membership
  • Work with the senior management team to develop strategy


Category Manager – Essential Skills:

  • Excellent Category Management experience with proven record of implementing this within a business to create growth and opportunities
  • Proven knowledge of working within the building material sector preferred but not essential
  • CIPS or Qualified experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at a high level
  • Target driven approach to ensure deadlines are met
