Site Engineer

My client is a busy commercial build contractor, who are looking for a freelance engineer to work on an Industrial Project in Leicester.

Duration: 12 months

Start date: September 2024

Rate: Negotiable based on kit / experience - CIS / Ltd payment available

Site Engineer responsibilities:

• Assist & support in the preparation, implementation & maintaining of formal QA / QC documentation on site
• Undertake Surveying and setting out duties
• Check drawings and quantities
• Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines
• Liaise with any consultants and sub-contractors engaged in the project as necessary
• Supervise and monitor Junior Engineers
• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Arrange testing of materials
• Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used
• Liaise with management
• Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility
• Ensure work is delivered in accordance with the specification
• Take part in and deliver a Safety Culture with the entire site team

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record of working as a Site Engineer on large Multi Million projects
• Minimum of 5 Years Site Engineer experience
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• CSCS Card
