Temporary Accommodation Officer
Location: Leicester City
Pay Rate: 16- 18 per hour (via umbrella)
Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time)

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Accommodation Officer to join a housing team on a full-time temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities of a Temporary Accommodation Officer :

• Providing an intensive housing management service to individuals living in temporary accommodation across Leicester City.
• Delivering regular advice and support to customers through face-to-face contact at their homes.
• Conducting pre-sign-up interviews and assessments to identify vulnerable customers who require additional support.
• Maintaining accurate records, managing customer information, and ensuring data systems and reporting are robust.
• Supporting customers with benefit queries and applications to ensure tenancy sustainment.

About You:

• Previous experience in housing, particularly with vulnerable customers, homelessness, and supported housing issues.
• Strong knowledge of welfare benefits and housing-related support services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Resilient, with the ability to handle challenging behaviours and difficult situations.
• Proficient IT skills for managing records and reporting.
• Own vehicle required for travel within Leicester City.
