Mechanical Estimator

The Role:

The primary purpose of the job holder is:

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for D&B projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to provide accurate pricing.
• Work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and suppliers.
• Manage bids and quotations to meet deadlines.

You will produce tenders and supporting documentation efficiently and professional to a high standard. This role is crucial in ensuring goof working relationships with new and existing clients. You will be working closely with the Head of Estimating to ensure all tenders are revirweed and prior to submission.

The Candidate:

Mechanical background and mechanical estimating experience is essential. A strong communicator with the ability to work well alone and as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities:

• The role will be office based working with hybrid working options are available.
• Manage tenders from enquiry through to submission.
• Conducting surveys when required.
• Reading and understanding the scope of works, speciication and drawings.
• Attend meetings with clients and senior management.
• Managing deadlines and carrying out estimates in a competent and organised way.
• Provide value engineering solutions.
• Liaise with Head of Estimating throughout tender period.
• Measure quantities from tender drawings.
• Liaiase with new and existing supply chain.
• Produce handover docuemtns and liaise closely with the projects team.
